If summed up, our team has decades of experience doing in-person and virtual media education workshops, trainings, after-school programs, and curricula all over the US and Latin America.

Our curriculum and perspectives are enriched by our team members who are also media professionals having worked on news reports, documentaries, podcasts, music albums, and other media for diverse sources such as PBS, CNN, FOX, Discovery, CBC, The World Bank, USAID, and more.

We strive to implement universal ideas, concepts, and principles that can be easily welcomed by people of all religious or non-religious backgrounds. Additionally, we strive to have team members and contributors from diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, and gender-based backgrounds. 

To increase our impact, we have volunteer third-party advisors from different US regions representing various educational backgrounds: public school system, Montessori, and others.

Shiny Gems is a project owned by Newfruit Media LLC, a purpose-driven media production company with a mission to create a world where media is a catalyst for social progress. Newfruit’s clients do not have any influence on Shiny Gems curriculum. This model has allowed us to fund the development of Shiny Gems.
